Gaurav & Sakshi’s wedding

I have just photographed another wedding in Delhi and am still amazed by the colors of these events.
I photograph the event like it is a documentary assignment and so the other photographers that were there doing their regular thing are in my picture of course :-) I love it!

I often recommend the couple to also have a ‘regular’ photographer that will be taking pictures of all the uncles and aunties so that there is no bad blood in the family. this is especially important where the wedding has many guests, like this wedding had. The amazing thing is that the couple cannot enjoy the evening at all when these photographers are there as they never stop clicking. they make the couple stand or sit for hours on hours posing for the camera as if this is the only thing they have to do on their wedding night.

I walk around with two camera bodies and no flash (most of the time) and actually use the available lights and capture the feel of the event as it really was. The difference in the images is enormous but it takes a certain kind of client, especially in a place like India, to understand what I do. most of the clients still feel that they need the old style photographer and are a bit afraid to let go. I hope this will slowly change.
Anyway, this was a lovely wedding :-)
I think Gaurav and Sakshi are now in Bora Bora . . :-)
